Privacy Policy
The short version
- You don't need an account, an email address or your real name to play.
- Your game progress is saved on your own device.
- If you use the online features (leaderboards, feedback), we store a random player ID, your player name and your scores.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time: support@foxtoastgames.com.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Fox Toast Games, a registered trade name of Daniel Rumbles in Colorado ("we", "us") handles information when you play Blade Link (the "Game") on your phone or tablet. If you have any questions, contact us at support@foxtoastgames.com.
2. Information we collect
Game progress, saved on your device
Your progress is saved in a file on your own device. This includes floors reached, items, outfits, settings and similar game data. This file is not sent to us. Uninstalling the Game, or using "Clear game data" in its settings, deletes it.
Online features (leaderboards and feedback)
When the Game connects to our online service, it signs in anonymously and we store:
- A random player ID, created automatically. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
- Your player name. The Game makes one up for you (for example "BraveFox482"). You can change it, and other players can see it on the leaderboards.
- Your outfit, shown next to your name on the leaderboards.
- Game results for the leaderboards: floors reached, scores, the weapon used and play time (used to detect cheating).
- Feedback you choose to send from the Game, with the Game version, your best floor and your weapon, to help us understand the problem.
- Technical data that any internet service receives, such as your IP address and request times. Our hosting provider keeps this in its server logs for security and reliability.
Advertising
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob: a banner, short ad breaks, and optional ads you choose to watch for rewards. Google may collect and use information to show, measure and improve ads and to prevent fraud. This can include:
- your device's advertising ID,
- IP address and approximate location (country or city level),
- device and app information,
- how you interact with ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Game first shows Google's consent form. Ads are only personalized if you agree, and you can change your choice later in the Game's settings. Wherever you live, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (on Android: Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Purchases in the Game, such as removing ads or ad pass packs, are made through Google Play. Google handles the payment. We only receive confirmation of what was bought so we can deliver it. We never see or store your card or payment details.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for or collect your real name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or microphone audio.
3. How we use information
- To run the Game and its online features: saving scores, showing leaderboards, and sending weekly leaderboard prizes to your in-game mailbox.
- To prevent cheating and abuse: for example, hiding cheating scores or offensive player names.
- To read and respond to feedback and fix problems.
- To show ads, which keep the Game free to play.
- To deliver purchases.
4. Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for money. We only share it in these cases:
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Other players | Your player name, outfit and scores appear on the public leaderboards. |
| Supabase (hosting provider) | Stores leaderboard and feedback data for us. Supabase Privacy Policy |
| Google (AdMob and Google Play) | Ads, and processing purchases, as described above. |
| Authorities | Only if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our players or others. |
5. How long we keep it
- Leaderboard data is kept while the Game's online features are running. Weekly boards start fresh every week, and your best results stay on the all-time boards.
- Feedback is kept as long as it is useful for improving the Game.
- Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 7).
6. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your online data: email support@foxtoastgames.com with your player name, which is shown in the Game's settings. We will delete your player record, scores and feedback.
- Delete your game progress: uninstall the Game, or use "Clear game data" in its settings.
- Ads: manage your consent in the Game's settings (where offered) and your ad settings on your device. Buying "No Ads Forever" removes ad breaks and banner ads.
- Your rights: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, or to object to how we use it. To use these rights, email us. We will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game changes. We will change the "Last updated" date above. For important changes, we will also let you know in the Game.
